KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two teenagers accused in a fatal shooting outside a Raytown pool hall now face charges in a separate killing that occurred in October 2018, the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday.

Kaci Cox, 17, and Logan England, 19, were each charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Makayla Brooks, who was killed inside a Raytown home on Oct. 5, 2018.

Earlier this year, Cox and England were charged in the March 4 fatal shooting of Riley McCrackin outside Raytown Recreation Pool & Billiard in March. Two other teenagers also face charges in connection with McCrackin’s death.

"We haven’t even had a moment to grieve," McCrackin's aunt, Jenn Nussbeck, said. "Four in custody and now hearing the news of another murder, at what point do you say, 'Enough is enough'?"

According to court records, Brooks was sleeping on a couch in the living room when England came into the home and shot her four times. Officers found four spent .40-caliber shell casings at the scene.

Witnesses told detectives that England said he shoot Brooks. Cox told detectives that she showed England where Brooks lived and stayed in a vehicle while England went inside the home, according to court records.

Cox said England believed Brooks had “snitched” on someone.

Cox remains in custody on a $250,000 bond. Bond for England was set at $350,000.'

"I hope at the end of the day justice is served and we both will have answers," Nussbeck said.
