Topeka man arrested on meth, possession charges

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Topeka man was arrested Saturday on methamphetamine charges.

Jackson County sheriff’s deputies stopped Raymond Alan Slater, 47, around 3:30 p.m. east of U.S. Highway 75 on 142nd Road for a “traffic infraction,” according to a news release, at which time he was arrested.

He also was booked into Jackson County Jail “for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia,” the release stated.

Additional charges are expected on Monday.
