Man charged in fatal road rage shooting at 104th and Holmes in KCMO

UPDATE 10:00 AM 6/3/2017: John C. Young, 45, faces charges in a deadly road rage shooting on May 25.

Young is charged with second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action. 

Young is accused of killing 19-year-old Christopher Hutson in a road rage incident at 104th and Holmes

According to the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office, a passenger in Hutson's car positively identified Young from a photo lineup. Investigators also reportedly found damage and paint transfer on the victim's vehicle that matches with the suspect's vehicle. 

The passenger in Hutson's car also claims that Young yelled "learn to [explicit] drive," directly before the shooting. 

Young is being held on a $250,000 bond.

A man was shot and killed in a road rage shooting.

At 4:15 p.m. Thursday, officers were sent to 104th and Holmes for a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a shooting victim in a car. 

A passenger in the victim's car told police they were driving when a 4-door, blue car pulled up next to them. The suspect started yelling at them saying they were driving too slow and learn how to drive. 

The drivers started arguing through the open windows while driving. 

The suspect drove ahead, but the victim followed the suspect and began arguing again. The suspect then fired shots out of his window. 

The victim, a man, died from his injuries on Friday. The female passenger wasn't hurt.
