2 wounded in shooting Thursday night in south Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A double shooting Thursday night in Kansas City, Missouri, critically wounded one person and sent a second person to a hospital.

The shooting was reported at 6:14 p.m. at East 93rd Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard in KCMO.

Upon arrival at the scene, KCPD officers found a victim lying in the grass with apparent gunshot wounds, per a KCPD spokesperson.

The victim was transported by the Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The other victim self-transported to a hospital.

No word on what led to the violence.
