Woman found dead Monday night in KCMO apartment

Original story Sept. 7, | Police found a woman dead Monday night inside a Kansas City, Missouri, apartment.

Authorities initially investigated her death as a suspicious, but police said Tuesday that it is now considered a homicide.

Officers were sent to check on a person about 6:30 p.m. in the Parkgate complex in the 3700 block of East Meyer Boulevard.

On Tuesday, police said the woman had been shot multiple times. Her name has not been released.

Homicide detectives spent the evening looking for clues. No one is in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
