KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 28-year-old woman was found shot to death inside an Independence home late Monday, police said.
Shortly before 11 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault at a home in the 1600 block of W. Sheley Road. They found a woman, identified as Shaunte P. McIntosh, dead from an apparent gunshot wound, police said.
One person was taken into custody at the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate.
