KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police officers are looking for a driver who led them on a chase going the wrong way on Interstate 29 during rush hour Friday night.
According to KCPD, the driver refused to pull over when police attempted to stop them.
When the driver sped off, KCPD continued the pursuit.
Clay County deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol officers spotted the vehicle and joined in the pursuit. The driver started going the wrong way on I-29, driving north while in the southbound lanes.
The vehicle ran off the highway at I-29 and North Oak Trafficway, where the driver got out and ran.
Law enforcement searched a business less than a mile away along Vivion Road near Troost Avenue, but didn't locate the suspect and was not able to positively identify the driver.
KCPD have not released why officers were trying to pull the driver over in the first place.
