JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – It’s not just metro students who received gold stars Wednesday.
Two metro area elementary schools – Nashua Elementary School in the North Kansas City School District and William Bryant Elementary School in the Blue Springs R-4 School District – were recognized among eight schools across Missouri with a Gold Star designation.
The designation by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education recognizes schools performing at high academic levels or those that perform at high levels with serving a large proportion of disadvantaged students.
Schools have been recognized in the program since 1991.
