KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A person who attended the election night watch party of Republican candidate Amanda Adkins has tested positive for COVID-19.
Adkins, who won the GOP primary Kansas's third congressional district Tuesday, held her election night watch party at Pinstripes in Overland Park.
On Friday, the campaign confirmed one of the attendees had tested positive for coronavirus. The campaign said the person, who reportedly was outside “most of the night,” is asymptomatic.
A campaign spokesperson said as a result of the exposure, Adkins would take a COVID-19 test and would self-quarantine.
The campaign also said it is in the process of notifying others who were in attendance.
