KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Clay County voters who have an absentee ballot but wish to vote in person Tuesday cannot surrender their ballot at the county annex.

Information on the Clay County Board of Election Commissioners website indicates “you can surrender your absentee ballot at the annex and vote in person,” in bold, capital letters.

However, an official with the board told 41 Action News the annex is not open for voting or surrendering ballots on Election Day.

Voters should surrender their ballots at their polling places and vote there on Tuesday.

Before Election Day, the annex was open for the above stated purposes.
