KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Johnson County has processed nearly 100,000 mail-in ballot applications for November's general election.
Election Commissioner Connie Schmidt shared a photo on Tuesday featuring dozens of baskets, filled with applications that still were awaiting processing.
Applications for mail ballots received in the last few weeks. Again, if you have sent in a request for a mail ballot for the presidential election, don’t send in another one - we have all of these waiting on data entry as of today. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/qyUCYdwaO1

She also reminded voters to only send in one application.
The Johnson County Election Office issued more than 100,000 mail-in ballots for the August primary.
Johnson County residents can fill out a request for a mail-in ballot online. The deadline is Oct. 27.
Wyandotte County saw a similar influx in August, having reported that more than 11,000 mail-in ballots were issued and more than 8,000 had been returned by Election Day.
