KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his foundation are going all-in on voter registration and activation ahead of the 2020 general election.
The reigning Super Bowl MVP and his foundation, 15 and the Mahomies, reportedly made a sizable donation to turn Arrowhead Stadium into a polling place on Nov. 3.
A spokesperson with 15 and the Mahomies confirmed the foundation, along with the Kansas City Chiefs, will split the tab for roughly 25 voting machines and labor for 30 poll workers.
The Kansas City Election Board said the polling place is on the club level at Arrowhead Stadium.
Mahomes has been active in other initiatives ahead of the general election.
In August, he joined LeBron James and other athletes and celebrities in signing a letter urging fans to fight against Black voter suppression.
Mahomes and other Chiefs players, including safety Tyrann Mathieu, sported red "Vote" warmups before the team's home season opener against the Houston Texans.
