Between Sept. 19 and Sept. 21, select restaurants and shops in downtown Lee's Summit are donating a portion of their proceeds to the GoFundMe campaign set up for Jessica Runions.
Pat Maloney has two 3-year-old daughters. When he learned of Runions’s disappearance, it floored him.
“As a father and a friend of the family, this is devastating to anyone who is a parent or has a relative that’s gone missing,” Maloney said.
That’s why his restaurant, Main Slice Pies and Pints, is one of 11 businesses in downtown Lee’s Summit participating in a fundraiser for Runions.

The money raised will go to a GoFundMe campaign to pay for what it calls unforeseen expenses such as lawyers, counselors, and private investigators.
“I felt the only way I can do something as a restaurant owner is to bring people in, let them eat, and donate what we can,” Maloney said.
The 21-year-old woman was last seen leaving a house party with Kylr Yust 11 days ago.
KC Crimestoppers told 41 Action News it’s received more than 60 tips so far but still, no significant break.
“We followed up with about two-third of those and we’re constantly working,” Officer Darin Snapp, a KCPD spokesman, said.
Yust remains in jail accused of burning Runions’s car. While Yust is in custody, police still need people to still come forward if they have any information to help bring Runions home.
