A mobile mammography van from Topeka will be at the Mt. Carmel Redevelopment Corporation's community health fair on Saturday, June 25 at 1240 Troupe in Kansas City, Kansas. The health fair begins at 9 a.m. and continues through 2 p.m. You can simply come and wait to get your mammogram or make an appointment by calling 913-621-4111, extension 2.

Clinic Breast Exams will be conducted by the Wyandotte County Health Department. At this point they will have their free mammogram.

"We encourage every woman to have a mammogram," said Marie Frasure, event organizer. "This is an opportunity for uninsured women to get a free mammogram."

Following the health screening, participants can enjoy the family-oriented activities outside that include food, entertainment, games, rides, pony rides and other events.

Participants can also get information on heart health, diabetes, nutrition and exercise. More than 100 vendors have registered to be at the health fair.
