Peanut butter, shellfish, and eggs are all at the top of the list when it comes to foods you may be allergic to.
A new local business, the first of its kind in Kansas City, aims to help you dodge all of the top allergens while still giving you some options.
Terri Jordan recently launched Gr8box, a monthly subscription service that delivers food products to customers' doorsteps that are free of the top eight food allergens: dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, and shellfish.
Keeping in mind her own experiences with severe food allergies, Jordan wants to let others know that they don't have to sacrifice their health and taste anymore.
"Trying to eliminate those items from your diet is not easy," Jordan said.

She works with manufacturers that produce these products in dedicated facilities, free of the top eight allergens.
Each month, a customer will get a box packed with eight different products. They could come in sample sizes, or full sizes. If the customer likes it, they can order more from the brand through Gr8box's website. It's about providing variety, something Jordan says is extremely hard to do.
"As far as finding foods, that's where the average consumer really has some trouble. So on the clinical side, we find out what's wrong with us, but then we're left to fend for ourselves," Jordan said.
The subscription service is $24.99 a month and can be canceled at any time.
"We're hoping that by being a Kansas City company and spreading the word locally, they will help spread the awareness," Jordan said.
Digital Sandbox KC donated $10,000 to help with Gr8box's launch.
