KANSAS CITY, Mo. — While event spaces and party stores are not seeing business due to COVID-19, one company is still helping people celebrate life's milestones.
Front Yard Greetings will put up celebratory signage in a front yard early in the morning to surprise the person celebrating.
On Monday morning, it was a boy named Garrett getting a sign for his 16th birthday.
"Even when this epidemic wasn't going on it was still exciting. But I think now, with everything that's going on, they just go bananas," Michele Nelson said as she set up Garrett's sign in the rain.
The company offers everything from birthday and wedding wishes, to sports and graduation signage.
Nelson said that the pandemic and lack of physical celebrations has made her busy.
"Yeah, I mean, they can't have a party. So why not celebrate in their yard," she said.
