KANSAS CITY, Mo. — With stay-at-home orders and social distancing in effect, it’s become more important than ever for businesses to get their messages in front of the public.

For many businesses, posting those messages on their websites has become a top priority as more people look online for information.

Phil Singleton, CEO and founder of Kansas City Web Design, says business has changed for his company amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“I think the main thing for most of the businesses we’re working with is they want to get the message to the consumer and the buyers: One, that they’re still in business, and two, that they’ve modified their services or products in a way that are safer and make their potential buyer more at ease,” Singleton told 41 Action News.

Singleton said he has had more local businesses reach out since the pandemic. He added there’s no better time than the present to get started on a website or make updates to an existing site.

“There is no better time than right now to take a look at your whole marketing strategy and making sure that you’re focusing on your website,” Singleton said. “It was important two months ago, but your website presence is 10 times as important now as it was, and it’s not going to change.”

We've created a Facebook group, We're Open Kansas City, where members of the community can post businesses serving their community.
