KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Michelle Keraus normally spends her days at the barre with dozens of other women, sometimes even a few men. Now, like most businesses across the metro, her doors at Pure Barre Zona Rosa are closed.
“We’re doing technique tips. We’re still talking about form and corrections even though we’re not hands on with you and we still have the loud music,” Keraus said. “We still have the microphone on. We still have the same energy. We’re just doing it virtually, like everybody else.”
She’s now offering virtual classes and an online community for clients who can’t come into her studio.
Keraus said she loves that “it gives them a little bit of accountability.”
“OK, I’ve got class at 9, I’ve got to get the kids set up into school work, breakfast on the table so I can sneak away for 45 minutes or whatever it is and get that class in,” Keraus said of those who continue to participate in the online classes.
Those who are interested in a virtual membership can text 816-912-0864 for more information or visit Pure Barre online for details on the virtual classes.
We've created a Facebook group, We're Open Kansas City, where members of the community can post businesses serving their community.
