KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City-area McDonald’s owner-operators donated nine tons of food to Harvesters Community Food Network.

The food donation, which was delivered Thursday, included 9,000 beef patties and more than 15,000 GoGurt yogurt tubes.

“We’re honored to help out,” local McDonald’s owner-operator Brian Gremaud said. “They serve a bunch of our communities, all of our communities, and we take a lot of pride in that and we want to do anything we can. Between us and our distribution, we want to make it happen"

We've created a Facebook group, We're Open Kansas City, where members of the community can post businesses serving their community.
