NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A North Kansas City business built on creating retail displays has pivoted to fill a need amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

InStore Design Display is now making personal protective equipment — including face shields, protective barriers and intubation boxes used in hospitals — for front-line workers.

“Just knowing you're doing something to help the community and to give back and to keep people employed, it’s really fulfilling and I know it gives our employees a lot of gratification as well,” InStore Design Display CEO Randy Edge said.

The company sells its equipment to hospitals, grocery stores and law enforcement agencies.

We've created a Facebook group, We're Open Kansas City, where members of the community can post businesses serving their community.
