One person is dead and another is injured after a shooting early Saturday morning in the 9900 block of Holmes.
Officers were called to a disturbance just before 1:30 a.m., but the call was quickly upgraded to a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers learned that two people had been shot. Both were transported by private vehicles.
One victim suffered life-threatening injuries and later died at an area hospital. KCPD has identified the man as 24-year-old Dasean J. Davis of Kansas City, Missouri.
The second victim's injuries were not life-threatening.
