KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person is dead and another is in serious condition following a crash Saturday in Linn County.
25-year-old Brett Michael Johnson was driving north in a 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse on Front Street in Prescott, when he crossed to the left side of the road and hit a tree, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash report.
Johnson, of Fort Scott, died. The passenger, 21-year-old Manon E. Turpen, of Pleasanton, was transported to an area hospital for a suspected serious injury.
Johnson was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
