KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was arrested after a crash that left one dead and another injured Tuesday morning in Merriam, Kansas, according to police.
Police said three vehicles were headed east on Shawnee Mission Parkway around 10:45 a.m. when one vehicle struck another. The crash forced one of the vehicles into a third vehicle.
The third vehicle then crashed into a rock wall just off the road, police said.
The crash killed a woman who was a passenger in the third car. Her husband also suffered serious injuries.
No charges have yet been filed.
Eastbound Shawnee Mission Parkway was closed for several hours after the crash.
