KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person has died in a fatal overnight crash in De Soto, Kansas.
The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 9800 block of Lexington Avenue.
Upon arrival to the scene, officials located a truck on its side.
Police report the driver was traveling westbound, struck a guardrail on a curve and overturned.
The driver, identified as John W. Couch, 66, was declared deceased at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
