KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person died and another was injured in a pedestrian crash Wednesday afternoon, Kansas City, Missouri, police said.
The crash happened near West 98th Street and Wornall Road around 4:20 p.m. when a woman driving a sedan hit two people, according to Kansas City, Missouri, police.
One of them, identified Thursday as 83-year-old Theodore W. Schroeder, died at the scene.
The driver, who was not imparied and was released from the scene, stopped and cooperated with police, KCPD said.
Police said the person who was injured is in stable condition at a local hospital.
Investigators remained on the scene interviewing witnesses.
