Argument inside Little Caesars in south Kansas City results in 1 man dead

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man died in a shooting at a Little Caesars in south Kansas City, Missouri, on Friday night, police said.

Just after 8 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at the pizza joint located at 8700 Blue Ridge Boulevard.

On arrival, officers found the man shot and unresponsive inside of the Little Caesars. The man, later identified by police as 48-year-old Reginald Lamar, died at the scene.

One man was detained and is considered a subject of interest, police said.

A preliminary investigation found the man had been in an argument with the suspect.

The argument quickly escalated and gunfire rang out inside the pizza joint, police said. The victim was shot in the incident.

The suspect and victim were known to each other.
