KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person is dead after a shooting on Campbell Street in Kansas City, Missouri.

Police were called to the 8100 block around 7:45 a.m. on reports of a shooting.

When the officers got there, they found the victim, a black man in his mid-30s, in the parking lot. He had been shot multiple times, police said.

He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police are looking for a dark-colored Chevrolet Malibu that was seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting. The car is dirty with a bad muffler, according to police. It was not immediately clear if the car was connected to the shooting or if a person inside the car may have seen something that could help investigators.
