KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department put out a fire at 5304 Independence Avenue Friday morning.
The building appears to be vacant.
No serious injuries were reported.
KCFD officials did say there were people experiencing homelessness using the building but they all got out.
There was one person briefly taken into custody but they were not arrested.
