1 killed, 1 injured in crash involving train in Camden

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured in a collision with a train in Camden, Missouri, Sunday night.

The crash happened just after 9 p.m. on Camden Road, south of Front Street.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of a 1998 Ford Escort drove around a train crossing arm.

The vehicle was then struck by an oncoming train.

Ashley Harder, 32, of Richmond, was killed in the crash.

The driver was seriously injured and taken via helicopter to a hospital.
