Police still looking for one person of interest in late night homicide

UPDATE: Nov. 17 6 a.m. Police said they have located one person of interest in the homicide, and two vehicles seen in the area- the dark four door sedan and the silver Kia Soul.
However, detectives still are asking for help in identifying the man in the Old Navy jacket and blue shoes.

UPDATE: Nov. 16, 4 p.m. Police now are looking for a second person of interest in the homicide that occurred Nov. 15 at the 7500 block of East 87th Street.

The man in a yellow Old Navy jacket and blue shoes is the second person of interest. The vehicle is a silver 2010 Kia Soul with Kansas license plate 624LVB.

UPDATE: Nov. 16, 9 a.m.: Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest in the homicide.

Kansas City Police are investigating an overnight homicide.

Police said it started with a disturbance just before midnight early Saturday morning in the 7500 block of east 87th Street.

One person was taken to the hospital where he later died. We're told the victim was an adult black male in his late 30s.

Police saw a man running from the scene, but have no suspects in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS. You can remain anonymous.
