KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A botched robbery of an ice cream vendor might have led to a shooting Wednesday night in Kansas City, Missouri, according to police.

Police found the victim, who was in stable condition at a hospital late Wednesday, about 9:45 p.m. outside a house in the 100 block of North Drury Ave.

The victim managed to push his frozen treats cart about 200 feet before he collapsed.

Police said the man is well-known in the neighborhood.
