KANSAS CITY, Mo. — 15 fire departments, from Phelps, Pulaski and Laclede counties responded to a fire at the Sunset Village of the Ozark in St. Robert, Missouri Sunday morning.
According to the Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District Facebook page, crews arrived at the apartment complex just after 1 a.m.
The departments worked the fire with an "aggressive interior attack." There was heavy fire and smoke conditions but crews were able to stop the fire from progressing.
Weather conditions were at 2 degrees below zero with a wind chill which caused hose lines and pumps to to freeze.
Everyone inside the apartments were accounted for. St. Robert, Missouri, is about three hours away from Kansas City, Missouri.
