KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two people are dead and one person under investigation after a head-on collision overnight.
According to Kansas City, Mo. police, it happened around 1:07 a.m. on Emmanuel Cleaver II Boulevard and Woodland Avenue. Authorities say a blue Dodge Charger traveling westbound at a high rate of speed in the eastbound lane on Emmanuel Cleaver II Blvd, collided with a blue Chevy Impala head-on. The two females in the Chevy were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Police are investigating that driver for impairment.
None of the three people involved were wearing a seatbelt.
