KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two men were taken into custody following a police pursuit Saturday in Cass County.
Cass County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to stop a blue Chevy truck around 4:45 p.m., when the driver “fled at a high rate of speed through Harrisonville,” according to a news release.
The driver continued north on Interstate 49, as officers from Peculiar, Grandview, Belton and the Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted “with deploying tire deflation devices,” the release stated. The vehicle was stopped on I-49 north of 150 Highway. Narcotics and a stolen firearm were located, according to the release.
Eric M. Kolich, 38, of Kansas City, Missouri, was charged on Sunday with being a fugitive out of state. He is wanted on a felony charge in Johnson County, Kansas, of fleeing law enforcement officials. He is being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
