Police identify 2 people found dead in car at Walmart near Legends Outlets in KCK

UPDATE 3:10 P.M. 4/26/2017: Police identified the two people found dead in a car outside of a Kansas City, Kansas Walmart. 

Police say Carolyn K. Williams-Cottier, 26, of KCK and Trevor B. Roth, 30, of Dodge City, Kansas were found inside the vehicle. 

An autopsy determined their deaths were accidental and caused by carbon monoxide poisoning.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A man and woman were found dead inside a car at a Walmart at 109th and Parallel near the Legends Outlet in Kansas City, Kansas. 

Police say the two were found inside a Chevy tracker, which was still running when they were discovered.

Kansas City, Kansas Police Chief Terry Zeigler said carbon monoxide levels were high inside the car. 

On Tuesday, April 25 Zeigler said the two died from carbon monoxide poisoning. 

According to police, the male victim was 30-years-old and the female victim was 26-years-old. Names of the victim have not yet been released.
