KANSAS CITY, Mo. — With just a flip of a switch, the Christmas season began Thursday night in Kansas City.
The Evergy Plaza Lights are on again, as they have been for nearly a century.
Because this is 2020 and there's COVID-19, the lighting ceremony was different this year.
Instead of a talent-filled stage show and shoulder-to-shoulder crowds, a smaller group gathered to watch the lights come on.
But the lights are on and will be until January 10, 2021.
