KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The story of Dave Cochran, the homeless man that helped a Kansas City Chiefs player stuck in the snow Saturday before the Chiefs game made national headlines and went viral on social media.
Cochran’s good deed was recognized by many in Kansas City, who wanted to help in any way possible, from assistance in repairing his car to winter clothes to help finding a job.
But Cochran’s history is complex and includes a lengthy criminal background.
In this week’s 41 Files podcast, reporter Steven Dial joins host Taylor Hemness and anchor Christa Dubill to discuss Cochran’s good deed, bad deeds and the path he can take forward with the help of others.
Later in the podcast, the group talks parenting tips, including what age kids should be allowed to carry a pocket knife.
The crew also discusses strategies to win a game of Hide and Seek.
