KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A new app to help barbecue aficionados visiting and living in Kansas City launched this week.
In a Friday edition of the 41 Files podcast, anchor Taylor Hemness talks with Visit KC’s Derek Klaus about the new app called “KC BBQ Experience.”
Klaus said the process took about a year from idea generation – they used the popular beer app Untappd as the benchmark – to launch on the app store.
Much of the development time was spent building out the app and creating a listing of all the restaurants in the city.
The app also features different “trails” users can take to track their “progress.”
