KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Coach Andy Reid and Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes talked to media Monday morning for the first time since winning the Big One.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell kicked off the press conference by introducing "a great football coach, but more importantly, a great man."

Speaking around 7:45 a.m. Central time, Reid said he hadn't slept at all since the team's victory.

"I didn't really sleep last night, but I didn't really spend it with the trophy ... I spent it with my trophy wife," he said about his celebrations. "I listened to Pit Bull, that's what I did ... He has great endurance."

"It's great to be here and to have won this with a great football team, and with a great organization and from a great city," he said. "I'm not sure it's completely settled in yet."

Though many people gave Reid the credit for winning the game, he made sure to point out that it's not a one-man show.

"We have guys that trust each other, so that's the biggest thing," he said. "The guys are resilient. They're mentally tough. They like being around each other."

The Chiefs were down by 10 points for a good portion of the game, but Reid said he never feels like they're finished with the guys they have on the team.

"Listen, there's no tomorrow in that game. That's it," he said. "With Pat and his receivers, his guys, you know you're never out of it."

Star quarterback Mahomes ran the team's first touchdown in himself and had an outstanding game yet again.

He led the team to their third consecutive playoff comeback after being down by at least 10 points, something no other team has ever done in the NFL.

"He challenges you as a coach to give him more," Reid said of Mahomes. "His aptitude is ridiculous."

The quarterback was still soaking in the victory Monday morning.

"It's amazing. It honestly is, to win this game, the Super Bowl, for not only me, my team, the coaches, but for the city," Mahomes said. "In reality, you never could imagine what this feels like."

The MVP gave the credit for the win to his teammates.

"We've built a brotherhood with this team ... and I think you can see it with the way we play and how we support each other," Mahomes said.

He went on to say that he wants to keep as many of his teammates at the Chiefs as he can.

"More than anything, I want to be around these guys and be around these guys every single day," Mahomes said.

When asked if he will stay with the team, he said that he hopes so, but he leaves all of that work up to other people that he trusts.

"Obviously I want to be in Kansas City for a long time," Mahomes said. "I want to win a lot of football games here."

And as for what Mahomes plans to do next?

He said he'll enjoy the win for a few weeks, but then it's back to work because he knows everyone will be gunning for the Chiefs next season.

"Win another one. That's it," Mahomes said.
