Another afternoon of violence in Kansas City claims a man's life

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police found a man shot to death Thursday afternoon in the street near East 7th Street and Norton Avenue.

The man was the third of four homicides in Kansas City in the last two days.

Homicide detectives need help from people who know why the man was killed and who pulled the trigger.

"This is a death," Sgt. Kari Thompson with the Kansas City Police Department told 41 Action News at the scene. "This is a family that has lost a loved one. This is real, live and in-living color and we have got to stop it.''

There have been 121 murders in 2017 in Kansas City, Missouri.
