Two firefighters suffered serious injuries after being trapped in a house fire in northeast Kansas City Friday morning.

Crews were called to the structure fire in the 700 block of North Agnes Avenue around 7:30 a.m.

A wall fell on top of three firefighters while they were putting out hotspots, a mayday call went out and a rescue team was able to get them out in a matter of minutes.

Ambulances were called to the scene to assess the firefighters' medical condition. KCFD confirms two of the injured firefighters were transported to a local hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries. They will remain in the hospital overnight.

The third firefighter did not have any serious injuries from the wall collapse and will be okay, according to officials.

No one was inside the home when fire crews arrived.

Anthony Naugle was in the process of moving into the home as he worked to renovate it. Now nearly all of his belongings are destroyed.
