KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A bicyclist was critically injured Monday afternoon after being hit by a car.
Police say the male bicyclist was north on Roanoke when he went through a red light on 31st Street and was struck by a passenger car westbound on 31st Street.
The bicyclist, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, struck the hood and windshield of the car before striking his head on the road.
He was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car was not injured.
