KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Steve Vandemark, principal at Morse Elementary School in the Blue Valley School District has died, according to a district spokesperson
He spent 10 years teaching sixth grade and four years teaching second grade before transitioning to a building administrator role in 2006.
Vandemark grew up in the Kansas City, Missouri, area and earned an elementary education degree from Emporia State University in 1992. He also has a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Mid-America Nazarene University.
He leaves behind a wife, Stacy, and two children.
