KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Brad Pitt showed the Kansas City Chiefs some love Sunday night at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The award-winning actor, known for his roles in "Fight Club" and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," was walking the red carpet at the event when a fan shouted at him, holding a Kansas City Chiefs Chiefs hat. That fan was Kyli Maddox of Mission, Kansas.

Before she left the metro for California, she saw the post of the Pope holding a Chiefs shirt, prompting her to bring the cap with her.

“Hey, let’s bring something to give to Brad Pitt since he’s from Missouri,” Maddox said.

Pitt was born in Oklahoma but grew up in Springfield, Missouri.

Sunday night, she saw her favorite actor and shouted at him, holding the hat. Pitt came over and took the hat from her. Maddox was shocked that not only did he take it, but then wore it on the red carpet.

She said she brought it because she thought Pitt would like and that it might bring Mahomes a win.
