KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 31-year-old woman is dead following a single-vehicle crash Friday in Platte County.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Office responded around 9:11 p.m. to a crash on 273 Highway near the intersection of 92 Highway Spur.
A 2000 Ford Focus, traveling northbound, left 273 Highway, down an embankment and “then went airborne,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
The driver, identified as Catherine Scarlett, of Camden Point, died at the scene. She was the only occupant.
The sheriff’s office’s crash team still is investigating the crash.
