KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Early Saturday morning a car fled a Clay County Sheriff's deputy at Ameristar Casino and crashed into a creek bed near 210 Highway and N. Brighton.
Deputy Jon Bazzano of the Clay County Sheriff's Office says about 5:14 Saturday deputies responded to the casino to assist the Missouri Highway Patrol locate a suspicious vehicle.
As the deputy located and tried to stop the vehicle, it sped away.
After a short chase the vehicle crashed into a creek bed.
A man and woman were taken into custody. No injuries were reported, and charges are pending.
