KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A vehicle stolen nearly three decades ago in Overland Park was recovered this week, police said.
Overland Park Police Chief Frank Donchez said that a 1991 Ford Mustang stolen in October 1993 was found in a Missouri barn. The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the vehicle.

The officer, now a police captain, who took the initial report in 1993 got the call on Thursday that it had been located, Donchez said.
The vehicle belonged to a 39-year-old man, according to the original incident report.
