Center Middle School students will be met by a backpack check upon entering the school Friday.
According to a Center Middle School spokesperson, staff members will be checking students' backpacks and bags to ensure safety after a threat was made on Snapchat Thursday night.
Officers were informed the threats were made toward the students and faculty of the school.
Officers are working with school security to identify the suspect.
There will also be a police presence on the school's campus Friday.
Parents were notified of the threat and student check in an email sent overnight.
Principal Linda Williams sent a message home to parents Friday morning.
"Thank you for trusting us with your children this morning. You should be proud of the way they came in the school and interacted with our teachers and administrators. We did check all the students and adults as they entered the school and police were here to monitor and provide extra safety precautions."
Williams went on to say that administration and staff will be talking with students and parents throughout the day to investigate who made the Snapchat threat.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
