KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Scams aren’t anything new, especially scammers calling people on the phone.
A recent story by St. Louis NBC station KSDK-TV looked at a recent twist on phone scams: law enforcement organizations such as the National Police and Troopers Association calling and asking for donations.
As for the particular organization, they do give some money to charity, but the vast majority of donations go to help fundraising.
