KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The countdown to the Kansas City Chiefs' season kickoff continues with a charity component.
This year’s countdown to the start of the season might feel a little different than previous seasons, but the team’s focus on raising money for the Ronald McDonald House remains the same.
Earlier this year, the team started selling championship flags, with proceeds dedicated to Ronald McDonald House charities.
The flag sale is part of an annual Red Friday fundraiser.

On Tuesday, Boulevard Brewing and former Chiefs quarterback Trent Green joined the effort to raise money and awareness for the charity.
Starting in September, Boulevard KC Pils bottles and cans will feature a red and yellow label. Proceeds from the sale of those products will go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.
The new label is part of the KC Pils Partner Series that is "designed to celebrate the many important connections between Boulevard and Kansas City, and to give back to a variety of worthy organizations," according to the company.
The limited-edition charity bottles and cans will be sold through the NFL season.
